Black Ginger (Kaempferia parviflora) is frequently confused with common ginger, it is not the same plant. Also known as Thai Black Ginger or Krachai Dum, Kaempferia parviflora belongs to the Zingiberaceae family but has an entirely different chemical profile driven by polymethoxyflavones - compounds not found in Zingiber officinale.

Growing it outside its native Thai environment requires careful management of soil composition, moisture, and microclimate - which our team, under Dr. Tripathi's oversight, has successfully achieved on our Karnataka farmland.
